Full Steam Ahead

I just want to blog. That’s it. It’s simple really, or at least it can be, unless of course you’re me, in which case you have this unfortunate tendency to do things to the extreme, and I’m sure some might call that obsessive, but I happen to think “extreme” has a slightly better connotation. Anyway, trust me when I say this character flaw will kill the fun in any situation quicker than you can say woo and hoo, and that’s exactly what happened to my last blog (rest in peace and sign of the cross, etc.).

In a former life, circa six months ago or so, I had a blogger blog that I adored. Here enters my extremist personality trait making my used to be fun and simple blogging hobby into the equivalent of astrophysics or being audited … yeah, good times. 

Then, some stuff happened. Well, a lot of stuff actually, like life, blah, blah; soul changing, blah, blah; madness and chaos ensued, blah, blah … I think you’re getting the picture, no need to go full-blown misery lit. And so, when the smoke finally cleared and I had a chance to recombobulate, I decided I needed a clean slate (complete with a fresh bloggy start), and here I am. 

I started blogging because I love to write. Well that, and because I’m a huge fan of sharing my thoughts about anything and everything with basically anyone willing to listen. So that’s what I’m going to do. No pressure, no stress, no fun hobby turned into a seemingly have-to-obligation, just good old sarcastic-semi-snarky me expressing away and rattling on about my life and the world around me. Aaahh, now that sounds like fun.
